Kodair connects private pilots, flying clubs and passengers. The pilot offers the free seats on their trip; passengers share the direct costs of the flight with them, with no profit at all.
The price of a seat is based on the direct costs of the flight (aircraft rental, fuel, fees), shared between all occupants, pilot included.
A platform built around the rules of light aviation and the needs of flying clubs.
€1 + 8% of the seat price, capped at €12 per booking, shown separately.
With shared pricing, each additional passenger lowers everyone's share; the difference is refunded.
Shorter flight than planned: the overpayment automatically goes back to the passengers.
Passengers say where they want to go; similar requests are grouped to interest a pilot.
Any change to a booked flight requires your agreement; otherwise you are refunded in full.
Pilots find their completed flights on a map, with their duration and actual cost.
More flight hours for your fleet and cheaper trips for your members, while staying in control of your activity. Registration is free for the club and its pilots.
You declare your aircraft and their hourly rates; the costs announced by pilots are checked against them.
You approve pilots' membership, their licences and, if you wish, each flight before it is published.
Recent experience, minimum hours, number of passengers: the stricter of the law and your rules applies.
Flights offered are cost-shared flights within the meaning of Regulation (EU) No 965/2012, Article 6(4a): six occupants at most, direct costs shared between all, no profit for the pilot. The platform itself enforces these rules.
Licence, medical fitness and recent experience checked before any flight is published.
Valid insurance required; complex aircraft refused.
Payments handled by Stripe; the pilot's share is only paid after the flight.
A cost-shared flight in a light aircraft does not offer the same safety guarantees as a commercial airline flight. The pilot in command alone decides how the flight is conducted, especially in bad weather.
Kodair applies the EASA charter for the safety of non-commercial general aviation flights: a warning before every booking, a code of conduct signed by pilots, checklists, a forum and transparency on the pilot's experience.
